Jürgen von GARTZEN – nr 18 Martini Callaway Racing Corvette Z06R GT3, 1st : "It was a great weekend for us, even if after the first race we were not really happy of the set up, and we decided to change it for today. We took a risk, but that was a good thing to do as our car was great today. The car was much faster and was very consistent. When I was behind Ruffier, it was just very hard to follow him. He was really good yesterday and today, so I preferred to let him go, and I knew that Luca Pirri could make a difference. Luca was once more perfect today, and he did a great job again. I’ve been to Dubai before, and I think that is going to be a good track for the Corvettes. We are very optimistic, we are going to keep putting pressure on the Ferraris, and we will see what will happen at the end!”
Luca PIRRI – nr 18 Martini Callaway Racing Corvette Z06R GT3, 1st : "The scenario was perfect for us today. It was a really fast pace leading pack at the beginning of the race, and Jürgen managed to adopt a good rhythm. We did a good pit stop today, and then I was able to go faster than the leading car. Then it was quite easy for me until the finish, I only had to be really careful in the traffic as I didn’t want to touch the other cars, so I was really careful in the traffic. We are looking forward to Dubai, it will be a good race. The Championship is still open and we are really motivated after this good week-end.”
Arnaud PEYROLES – nr 19 Riverside Corvette Z06R GT3, 2nd : "It is a really good week-end for us. We won yesterday, we are second today, it is great. James Ruffier did a great stint, and then we were good during the driver change. I could not fight with Luca Pirri though. He was fastest, and at the end his car was much more efficient than mine. Now we have one win, but we are not really fighting for the Championship, so we’ll go to Dubai with no pressure, just the motivation to have fun and to get another good result.”
Erik JANIS – nr 15 S-Berg Racing Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, 3rd : "We decided to change very early, in order to have a different strategy to all the other cars. We are happy with this result. Jaromir did a good job at the beginning, as he had to drive with a harder group. I have to thank him for what he did today. The car was much better than yesterday, we saved tyres and we concentrated to keep more grip until the end. I had to fight really hard during the last lap, in order to overtake Gilles Vannelet, and I’m really pleased to finish on the podium today, for our home race. Of course we wanted to win, but at the end we had a good week end.”
Jaromir JIRIK – nr 15 S-Berg Racing Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, 3rd : "Erik did a really good job during the entire week-end. During my stint, it was not easy. The start was a huge moment, and my main goal was to do not have any accidents: in the middle of the field it is always dangerous. Then I went as early as possible to the pits, in order to give the wheel to Erik Janis, as Erik was incredibly fast here. We would like to go to Dubai, but we have to wait for the decision from our team.”
Henri MOSER – nr 38 Kessel Racing Ferrari 430, 4th : "I accelerated like the others at the start, but our car is less powerful than other cars, and the Corvettes passed me everywhere. I did not take any risks, but I went in the dust, and I lost many positions. Then I needed two laps to clean my tyres, and to begin to run as I should. Afterwards I did my best, I overtook cars but it was just not possible to catch the Corvettes. I was at my maximum during my stint. Dubai is going to be something special, we are really waiting for it. We will have to drive intelligently, not make any mistakes and we hope to finish in good conditions there. We are disappointed today, we were hoping for much more.”
Gilles VANNELET – nr 38 Kessel Racing Ferrari 430, 4th: "I was able to keep Erik Janis behind me, but in the last lap I arrived behind a Porsche, which stayed during a few corners in the middle of the road. So Erik had an opportunity to pass me, I did not want to have an accident, so I didn’t resist too much. Then I tried to pass him before the end of this last lap, but he really closed the gap. It is disappointing for the Championship, we lost important points. But anyway, now we are ready for Dubai, ready to fight. We will do our best, but we have to win that Championship.”
Maxime SOULET – nr 45 Matech Racing Ford GT, 6th, first Ford: "It was not easy. New track, new car, this is not easy. We have to work, the potential of the car is incredible, and I’m sure we will be able to fight for the win very soon. Maybe not in Dubai, but next season for sure. The team did a great job, to be here with three cars was a real victory for them. We are looking forward to Dubai, this track should be good for us. We have a lot of work to do, but the team is working well, and we want to succeed.”
