Dino Lunardi (pole position) - #2 Matech GT Racing Ford GT
“I did a good session and this is my first pole position in FIA GT3 so I am very happy. We changed our strategy and changed our positions so I did qualifying 1 and Eric did qualifying 2. I will try to increase the gap to the rest in the race to give Eric the car with good tyres and he can finish the job from a good position. The team worked very hard and is a very good result for them, especially after Silverstone, which was very difficult.”
Walter Salles (2nd on grid) - #1 Matech GT Racing Ford GT
“Coming fromBrazil and landing here it is like a brave new world! I’m trying to learn the tracks as fast as I can but it isn’t an easy endeavour. But this track being shorter is in a way easier to learn if you are discovering it for the first time. I was helped greatly by Fabio Balbini who kinda helped me through the weekend to find my marks and that has made a lot of difference. The team has worked a lot to improve the balance of the car and here it is much more stable than it was at Silverstone.”
Christoffer Nygaard (3rd on grid) - #28 Fischer Racing Ford GT
“It was really tough. I was called in by the team when I was P1 because we wanted to save the tyres for the race and unfortunately I was beaten down to P3. Lunardi and Salles in the other Ford were really strong; maybe I could’ve got them but we’ll see as I have the tyres for the race. Our car is really good here; we worked really hard on a good set up and I think we’ll go well”
