Jürgen von Gartzen – nr 18 Martini Callaway Racing Corvette Z06R GT3 : “Two of our cars are brand new, the nr 16 and our car. So today was like a shakedown for us. The team has been working hard for several weeks to be ready for today. It is hard to know where we are in the classification. We will have more of an idea after this week-end, but this Championship is going to be really close. There are a lot of good cars, good teams and good drivers. It is really open, after this first day it is impossible to find a real leader.”

Diego Alessi – nr 23 BMS Scuderia Italia Aston Martin DBRS9 : “This track is quite good for our car. I think that the fast tracks, like here or Dubai, are made for our Car. We have to win here. We worked hard during the winter, it has helped us a lot today. We will see, it is hard to come up with a conclusion after the free practice, it is much too early.”

Ben Collins – nr 33 Team Berlanga Ascari KZ1R : “Our team is brand new, but they know the Ascari very well. All was decided very late, so we are maybe not 100% ready, but it is going to be ok for the race, we worked hard today. Our car is good here, so we will see. It may be my only race of the season, so I want to have a good result.!”

Henri Moser – nr 38 Kessel Racing Ferrari 430 : “It is only my second season in motorsport. Here in Silverstone, I drove a racing car for the very first time last year. I love this track, it is fast and really exciting. Last year I did the Ferrari Challenge, and this year I hope that I will learn a lot in the FIA GT3 European Championship. Our Ferrari is good, our team is working really well, and with Gilles Vannelet we could do something interesting.”

Martin Bartek – nr 43 Matech Racing Ford GT : “We created the team during the winter. The car is brand new, we just finished it before coming here. We are learning a lot, each lap we learn something new. We have a lot of work to do, but we are so enthusiastic, this car is great, and we want to succeed in this project.”
