28/04/2010 Team Rosberg completes 2010 season planning with high-calibre European Championship programme

Team Rosberg has completed its programme and squad for the 2010 motorsport season. The team from Neustadt/Weinstraße fields two Audi A4 DTM in the DTM, two Audi R8 LMS in the ADAC GT Masters and competes again with two Audi R8 LMS in the FIA GT3 European Championship. This series comprised of six individual events held throughout Europe represents the highest quality GT3 title.

"We face the challenge for the second successive year,” explains team boss Arno Zensen before the first round of the FIA GT3 Championship on 1/2 May at Silverstone. "In our debut season last year we fought for the title up until the final round. In the end we shared second place with another team. This year our aim is to fight among the leaders again and ideally be in with a fighting chance at the end. Therefore, we have signed four competent drivers.”

The Germans Kenneth Heyer from Wegberg and Johannes Seidlitz from Wassertrüdingen share the cockpit of the number 3 Audi R8 LMS. Michael Ammermüller from Pocking in Germany and Brazilian Paulo Bonifacio race in the number 4 car. The three German drivers race for Team Rosberg for the first time this year, and also contest the German ADAC GT Masters in parallel. Paulo Bonifacio from São Paulo collected experience in the German and Europeans series at the wheel of a Rosberg Audi R8 LMS last year already.

The companies Interwetten and e-WOLF were gained as partners for the FIA GT3 programme. The FIA GT3 European Championship is comprised of twelve races in six European countries. The pan-European TV channel Motors TV broadcasts every race. On 1 May German television viewers can follow the action directly on screen from 15:00, and on 2 May from 12:45 hours.
