Under the midday sun at Paul Ricard, twenty-seven FIA GT3 cars took to the track for their first session of the weekend. During the 60-minute Free Practice session, French driver Dino Lunardi, in the nr18 Toni Seiler Racing Corvette Z06R GT3, was the fastest car on track with a best time of 2:10.662. In the nr61 Prospeed Competition Porsche 911 GT3, Marco Holzer set the second fastest lap with a time of 2:11.135. Third quickest with a best lap of 2:11.149, was Eugenio Amos in the nr24 Argo Racing Lamborghini Gallardo LP560.
