31/03/2010 SRO MOTORSPORTS GROUP ANNOUNCE LIVE TELEVISION COVERAGE

SRO today announced that they have secured live television coverage for the FIA GT3 European Championship across Europe.  The championship will be broadcast live by pan-European motorsports broadcaster Motors TV and it will also receive live coverage in Italy by Nuvolari. The agreement with Motors TV provides live coverage in Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, and Ukraine.

The FIA GT3 European Championship was launched by SRO in 2006 and has proved to be one of the biggest success stories in European motorsport. It is anticipated that it will feature a grid of up to 40 cars, made up of up to 11 competing brands. The new season gets underway at Silverstone on May 1.

Manufacturers expected to be on the grid include Ascari, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, Mercedes and Porsche. To ensure close racing and to add to the spectacle the cars undergo a 'balance of performance' test pre-season.
