| FIA GT3 Drivers Champions | James Ruffier & Arnaud Peyroles Arnaud Peyroles and James Ruffier came to Dubai with an eight-point lead in the Drivers' standings of the FIA GT3 European Championship, which made them strong favourites to win the title, as there were only 20 points available over the two races. The No.1 Martini Callaway Corvette Z.06R GT3 pair did not waste time, taking victory in the first of the weekend's two one-hour races - and since their nearest rivals, Ian Khan and Thomas Mutsch in the No.20 Matech GT Racing Ford GT, could finish no higher than fourth, the title was theirs. |
